New Year.....

This is my first blog post of 2016....I haven't posted recently as I have been enjoying quality time with my family throughout the festive season.
With it being a new year I, like millions of other people, made resolutions....however I didn't want to conform to the norm of vowing to be a size 6 by summer (it's never going to happen, vegan brownies are FAR too nice), I wanted my resolutions to be meaningful, obtainable and to have purpose. This year I intend to lead a more frugal, green and animal cruelty free life. I intend to free myself from the mental prison created by the media and the government. I am endeavoured to ensure my future decisions to be based wholly and purely on what I, as a person, believe, choose and have researched myself.
I intend to do more for this planet... We only have one and I am sick of seeing it be abused for our own selfish gain. Where, I can, I intend to choose the most environmentally friendly option....not using plastic bags, recycling, walking (which I do a lot of anyway as I have an irrational phobia of driving), using raw produce and to hopefully grow my own vegetables.
These were a few in a long list of wants, wishes and dreams that I fully intend on working hard to make a reality over the next year and beyond.
So while many are making resolutions for personal gain, why not make just one that benefits others or the planet. Even the smallest of changes can make a huge impact on ourselves, our planet and the lives of innocent animals.
Be the change.
